Ghani House History – 50+ Years of Industrial Growth Since 1967
Since 1967, Ghani House has grown from a mining business into one of Pakistan’s leading industrial groups. Over more than five decades, the Group has expanded into glass manufacturing, ceramics, mining, and pharmaceutical packaging, establishing companies such as Ghani Glass, Ghani Value Glass, Ghani Ceramics, RAK Ghani, and Ghani Metal & Rubber Industries (GMRI). Today, Ghani House History continues to drive innovation, quality, and sustainable industrial development while serving customers across Pakistan and international markets.
1967 – Ahmed Brothers & Co.
Ghani House laid its foundation in business in 1967 as Ahmed Brothers & Co when they acquired a dead coal mine (Duta mines) leading up to the whole acquisition of Makerwall Collieries.
1984 – Ghani Corporation
The House diversified becoming the first private sector company in major minerals. Ghani Corporation became the first private company to register 1 ton export of salt, becoming the largest mineral exporter of Pakistan.
1987 – Ghani Textile Limited
Ghani House entered a new era to become Ghani House by being one of the first five companies to introduce shuttle less technology textile units in Pakistan.
1999 – Ghani Glass Limited (Ex – Prince Glass)
Ghani House expanded their container division. Acquiring one of Pakistan’s leading & most modern plants, they became leaders in pharmaceutical, food & beverage glass containers.
2005 – Ghani Float line
Alhamdulillah Ghani House achieved a ground breaking milestone by introducing first high tech float glass manufacturing process and converted almost 70% of country’s flat glass market from import to local manufacturing.
2006 – RAK Ghani Glass LLC, UAE

2009 – Ghani Value Glass Limited
Ghani House introduced value addition in glass for the first time in Pakistan to produce state of the art mirrors and introduced spectrum technology in the country, replacing 80% of imports in local spectrum technology. Further value addition was in form of high quality double glazed glass, tempered glass, bent glass and colour painted glass etc.
2015 – Ahmad Brothers Materials (Pvt) Limited
Established Pakistan’s first composite mineral raw material processing plant to process silica sand and other raw material minerals’ mining.
This is the most crucial process to achieve top quality production.
2018 – Pakistan’s first and only Clean Room
Ghani Glass became the first company in Pakistan having the concept of packing in Clean Rooms (Class 100,000 Clean Room certified)
2019 – Ghani Ceramics Limited
Established one of the most modern ceramic tile plants with a project size of 10 billion PKR, for producing porcelain glazed vitrified tiles (PGVT).
2022 – Ghani Metal & Rubber Industries
Pakistan’s only state of the art production facility for pharmaceutical grade rubber stoppers & aluminum seals, based on German technology.
